Volunteering with Mercy Ships is a great way to make new friends, learn new skills and have lots of fun. We need volunteers who can give time and energy to organise events, fundraise and help out in our national office. Regardless of your skills, you can make a lasting difference in a world of need.
We are looking for willing volunteers to help develop an extensive network of speakers across Australia
Community Representatives
We are looking at two different levels for our Speaker Network. The first level will be called Community Representatives. These reps will be supplied with a kit of materials (DVD's, pictures, brochures, etc) so they can sit down with their local hobby, interest or church group and share the Mercy Ships message. Our experience overseas is that once word gets around, you will be a sought after commodity. All you will need to make the presentation is access to a TV and a DVD player.
Qualifications: Time and a willingness to help. We will provide you with the necessary training and resources to conduct the job
Regional Representatives
The second level will be Regional Representatives. These reps will handle the presentations that call for a more professional approach such as those given to business, large church and school groups. They will also work with the Community Reps in a support role.
Qualifications: Regional Reps would need to have good public speaking skills and feel comfortable in a business, church or school environment. We will provide you with the necessary training and resources to do the job
Job Satisfaction
Although these jobs are voluntary, there is a high degree of job satisfaction, as you will join an organisation that has an incredible impact in transforming the lives of the poor and outcast in some of the most desperate nations on earth

Volunteer
One of the unique features of Mercy Ships is the use of volunteers, enabling the charity to provide all of its services to the poor without charge.
