Disaster Response Readiness ProposalProject Goal: To assure Mercy Ships disaster response readiness in all critical organizational areas including trained leadership, communication networks, human resources database management, and donor partnerships to provide responsible and effective assistance as catastrophic events occur worldwide Project Objectives: Provide training for 40 leaders in Disaster Response protocols and procedures. Develop systems for evaluating and matching the capacity of Mercy Ships. Provide a safe and effective deployment strategy for volunteers and staff through best practices, maintenance of basic medical supplies, and up-to-date equipment readiness |

Mercy TeamsProject Goal: To embrace the ability of Mercy Teams to promote the work of Mercy Ships, to provide meaningful mission experiences for short-term teams, and to help location partners effect long-term change. Project Objectives: Develop a training program for Mercy Teams Team Leaders, which will include the development of a training manual. Three team leaders to receive leadership training. Four administrative staff to receive technical training. Assess partner locations and projects in West Africa and Central America, and identify opportunities for collaboration. Provide stipend support for seven full-time key staff. Participate in three strategic mission conferences to increase Mercy Teams profile. |
