What is Mercy Milestones?
Mercy Milestones is a way to raise money for Mercy Ships Australia by donating your birthday or other special occasion. By giving up presents and asking for donations to Mercy Ships instead, you can bring hope and healing to the world’s forgotten poor – a gift worth more than diamonds! You, your friends and your family will also receive the satisfaction of knowing you have done something extraordinary for someone who can never repay you.
You can decide how much you’d like to ask your loved ones to donate – every dollar counts! An easy way to nominate an amount is to ask for the age you’re turning or a number that means something to you. 40th birthday? That’s $40 from each loved one. Born on the 12th of the month? That’s $12. 25th wedding anniversary? That’s $25.
How it works
To donate your next birthday or special occasion to Mercy Milestones, simply contact our National Office to let us know that you’d like to participate. Then download the Mercy Milestones Card to hand out or email to your loved ones. We also have promotional material to help you out – brochures, photos, DVDs, flyers. Your friends and family can then give their donations to you to forward to Mercy Ships Australia, or they can donate directly via cheque, credit card or online (with a note that it’s in your honour).
All donations that your loved ones give of $2.00 or more to the Relief Fund are tax-deductible.

This card can be personalised just for you! We can include your name, the amount you'd like people to donate and specify which cause you'd like the money to go towards (VVF, orthopaedics, dental etc). We can also change it to suit anniversaries and other occasions. Simply email Melissa Mason with your request.
