Welcome to Mercy Ships Australia

Mercy Ships exists to address the critical shortage of health care services in the developing world.

Mercy Ships operates a 16,000 tonne hospital ship which provides free medical surgeries to the poorest nations of the earth. Manned by volunteer doctors, dentists, nurses and other health care professionals, the Africa Mercy performs life-saving surgery for thousands of patients each year.

The Africa Mercy is operating in Lomé, Togo then Conakry, Guinea in 2012.

More than 7000 FREE surgeries are performed each year on the Africa Mercy. This is made possible by the goodwill of the VOLUNTEER medical and support staff who pay their way to the ship and the generous contributions of supporters in the developed world.
